Here we are. Humans crave certainty and safety and we don’t know what’s coming next. We’re living in a different reality. You, my intrepid traveling clients & friends, have a lot of heart. You love to travel experientially, immersing yourselves in local experiences, making a difference in local economies. We travelers believe in oneness which makes the divisiveness and isolation of our current status all the more difficult.
Covid-19 has highlighted the importance of travel, the largest service industry in the world. The economic impact is painfully obvious. My heart aches for those nations and their citizens who rely on tourism for their economy. My heart aches for my clients who have had to postpone their trips of a lifetime.
I have no question that the allure of travel to the human spirit cannot be contained. Tourism will rebound. It has done so after each and every crisis we’ve faced, and it will again. It is in our DNA. People are yearning to travel again, even for just short distances.
While I am technically in the travel industry, I am really in the human connection business. Travel brings joy in dreaming, the excitement of the experience, and a lifetime of memories that grow more valuable each day. This is temporary. KEEP DREAMING. I am ready when you are.
If you haven’t already seen the 60 minutes episode aired on March 29th interviewing Brené Brown, I highly recommend you watch it…
